Guildford Fireworks 2026: Where to Eat Before Stoke Park Fireworks
Big coat on. Gloves located. Fireworks tickets somewhere in the group chat.
Bonfire Night is back in Guildford and, naturally, we think all good fireworks plans should begin with food.
If you’re heading to the Guildford Lions Firework Festival 2026 at Stoke Park, make Megan’s your first stop. Join us for an early dinner under the fairy lights in Guildford before heading towards the park — then grab a takeaway coffee or hot chocolate for the walk.
Cosy first. Fireworks second.
When Are Guildford Fireworks 2026?
The Guildford Lions Firework Festival returns to Stoke Park on Saturday 7th November 2026.
The annual charity event brings one of Guildford’s biggest Bonfire Night celebrations back to Stoke Park, with fireworks and live entertainment planned for the evening. Profits from the event are also being donated back into local community projects.
So, now that the main event is in the diary, there’s just one very important question left.
Where are we eating?
Start Your Fireworks Night in Guildford
Enter: Megan’s by the Castle.
Start in the heart of Guildford with an early dinner, cosy interiors & enough fairy lights to get you into the spirit before the first firework has even gone off.
Get the group together, claim your table and settle in before heading towards Stoke Park later in the evening.
It beats trying to organise everyone once you’re already standing outside in the cold.
Early Dinner Before Stoke Park Fireworks
Bonfire Night dinner calls for proper comfort food.
Fill the table with warm flatbreads, mezze, little grills & Eastern Mediterranean favourites, or order your own and politely decline all requests to “just try a bit.”
If you’re bringing the little ones, an early dinner also gets everyone fed before the excitement begins.
And if you’re heading out with friends?
We hear cocktails are excellent preparation for wearing four layers.
Heading to Stoke Park
Once dinner is finished, it’s time for the main event.
Wrap up warm and head towards Stoke Park for Guildford’s Firework Festival.
Because it’s one of Guildford’s big autumn events, planning ahead is your friend. Tickets sorted. Table booked. Group chat informed.
Look at you being organised.
Something Warm for the Walk
One last thing before you leave Megan’s.
A takeaway coffee or hot chocolate.
Grab something warm for the walk to Stoke Park and suddenly heading back outside feels significantly more appealing.
Cold hands are optional.
Hot chocolate isn’t.
