Where to eat in Islington? Megan’s at the Sorting Office is in Islington Square, 6 Esther Anne Place, Islington, N1 1WL. Islington Square, is just off Upper Street, about halfway between Angel Station and Highbury and Islington Station. It is a five minute walk from Islington Town Hall, so is a great location for weddings.

We are open all day every day for brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Plus, we serve delicious cakes and coffee all day long. We are also available for private hire events and parties, with our famous mezze sharing party platter menu, or our Turkish breakfast feast menu for large groups!

Megan’s is voted the most romantic restaurant in London and described by Timeout as offering “filthily delicious food in a magical setting” (Timeout 2018). We have also been voted best Mediterranean restaurant in London, best brunch in London, best bottomless brunch in London… And many more!

Our Islington restaurant is our first venture outside of south west London, and has our sexiest interiors yet. We have a beautiful mural of blue tits, lots of hanging lights and also an abundance of macrame. The main dining area has a bamboo slatted ceiling, making it feel as though you are on a Mediterranean holiday.

Our Excutive Chef, Sercan, is Turkish. Sercan is largely responsible for our Mediterranean menu. He created our delicious sharing platters and perfecting a fantastic shakshouka sauce… Simmered for 8 hours with herbs and spices. P.s. we had shakshouka on the menu before it was cool 😉

On the brunch menu, you can find classics like avocado on toast and eggs benedict. Or you can also opt for dishes with a Mediterranean twist. Brunch is available all day everyday until 3pm. At lunch and in to the evening, we also have our ‘posh’ deconstructed or open kebabs, alongside other yummy sharing plates and mains.
