Lockdown is nearly over & now you are looking for your next private dining experience in St Albans. Megan’s is the place to choose if you want magical, romantic décor paired with the most mouth watering meditterrean menu.

Megan’s St Albans is our first restaurant outside of London. By day we are a popular spot for office lunches and also yummy mummies brunching. By night you will see Megan’s in full swing…with lots of Prosecco and cocktails to be drunk under the gorgeous lights.

Megan’s St Albans has a few options to choose from when it comes to private dining. If you are after something more intimate, we have a spectacular private dining room that seats up to 10 people with the added bonus of a private bar. We operate a no minimum spend or hire charge for this space. So it’s the perfect way to celebrate with those that are closest to you.

We of course offer the semi private and private hire of the entire restaurant for those larger events. If you would like to know more or make an event enquiry, please email

For private hire of the restaurant, you can find our minimum spends on our restaurant spec sheets here.

Private dining Megan’s St Albans Menu

Food is what we do best. Our sharing party platters are great for any occasion and are utterly divine. Yes, we are likely biased, but the feedback we receive is incredible so we think it is fair to say this! You can find more information about our parties and our menus here.

Our party menu is a Mediterranean inspired sharing platter feast.

Firstly to start, you have the sharing boards of mezze, featuring delicious Turkish cheese fondue, sucuk Turkish chorizo & more delicious sharing plates.

Secondly for mains, you choose two of the six available options (also on platters) and everyone can have a bit of each. Big overnight braised slabs of meat, grilled fish or halloumi. Served with mezze sharing sides of course!

More importantly, our desserts are pretty impressive and they’re also to share! We have the gluten free brownie tower with whipped cream and berries. Or THE half baked cookie dough. It will change your life. Forever.

Where is our new St Albans restaurant?

Come and find us at The Old Bell pub on Chequer Street in St. Albans. Hence the name!

Moreover, you may also know this restaurant as the Old Jamie’s Italian. The little building that backs on to The Maltings Shopping Centre. The building is now blue, as blue is our colour 🙂
