St. Albans Restaurants: We are very excited to announce that we will be opening a restaurant in St. Albans! It will be our first venture outside of London, so let’s hope you guys in Hertfordshire like us! We hope to be a great addition to St. Albans restaurants’ offering 🙂
We are a small, independent, dog-loving neighbourhood restaurant. We originated in south west London in 2002 as a small antiques shop on the Kings Road in Fulham. Selling cakes & pastries to her guests in the little shop, Megan then decided that the beautiful setting would make a rather nice cafe & later, also a restaurant. So, Megan’s as we know it today, was born.
The original Kings Road restaurant is so loved by its neighbours. And due to its popularity, we have since been able to open a few more locations to share the Megan’s love around a few more neighbourhoods of south west London. Last year we ventured to Islington in north London… Our first restaurant outside of our south west London home! So far, so good… The north Londoners appear to like us too, which is great news 🙂
So, here we are, opening in St. Albans! We hope you like us!
We are a totally dog friendly, child friendly & also laptop friendly, all day dining spot. We offer takeaway coffees, brunch, deli grab and go lunch, lunch to have in, supper, cocktails, & also parties. Megan’s is open all day every day & brunch is an all day affair (until 5pm).
Our food has a slightly Mediterranean influence as our Executive Head Chef, Sercan, is from Turkey. Think shakshouka baked eggs, posh kebabs, mezze sharing plates. Plus THE Half Baked Cookie Dough… Which will change your life. Forever.
You can find our full menus here.
In our current London homes, we are a varied spot for our neighbours. They hang out all day on their laptops, bring kiddies for an early supper, host baby showers with us, bottomless brunch with friends, propose to their other halves, and even host weddings!
We are known for our beautiful interiors, our delicious food & our warm & friendly team.
We are situated at The Old Bell pub on Chequer Street in St. Albans. Hence the name!
You may also know this restaurant as the Old Jamie’s Italian. The little white building that backs on to The Maltings Shopping Centre. The building is soon to be blue, as blue is our colour 🙂
St. Albans Restaurants: Megan’s at the Bell.
You can find us on Google Maps here.
We are only allowed tables of up to 6 & have to close our doors at 10pm.
We’re sorry that we’re unable to host your parties at the moment. We are taking enquiries for Christmas groups & will update you nearer the time.
Info: We are currently accepting bookings at all times; for brunch lunch & dinner!
