Restaurants near the Almeida Theatre: We are very excited to announce that our new restaurant, Megan’s at the Sorting Office (Islington) is now open in Islington Square!

Megan’s has been a much loved south west London spot since 2002 & due to the amazing reception we have received, we have opened a few more locations & so we have now decided to venture outside of south west London! So, hello Islington, we hope that you like us up here as much as we are liked down south!

Our new restaurant is very close to the Almeida Theatre (more details on our location below), so if you are looking for a great value and totally delicious pre-theatre meal, then join us for our Mediterranean inspired evening menu. Our evening menu starts from 3pm meaning you can come straight from work before attending the theatre.

The food.

Megan’s is open all day every day, offering all day brunch (until 3pm), lunch and dinner. Our Executive Chef, Sercan, is Turkish, hence the loosely Mediterranean feel to the menu.

For a delicious pre-theatre evening meal, try our sharing plates, for example, the Turkish cheese fondue to start; a bowl of gooey cheesy deliciousness, or our sharing gambas pil pil.

For mains, our cokertme ‘Turkish steak & chips’ is divine: Pull apart overnight braised rib of beef, marinated in lots of garlic & herbs, with a lightly spiced glaze. Or our posh kebabs… with the option of the deconstructed pan kebabs or our open flatbread kebabs. Check out our full menu to see all of our evening dishes.

And of course… For pudding, you HAVE to try the half baked cookie dough, which we are famous for. A half baked cookie stuffed with gooey melted Nutella & topped with pistachios, honey, & vanilla & salted caramel ice cream. It will change your life. Forever.
