St Albans restaurants: Megan’s at the old Bell.

St Albans restaurants: Megan’s restaurant is in the heart of St Albans.

Megan’s at the old Bell is a loosely Mediterranean restaurant, situated in the old Bell pub, just by the Maltings on Chequer Street.

You can find us on Google maps here.

A bit about who we are & what we do.

We are a totally dog friendly, child friendly & also laptop friendly, all day dining spot. We offer takeaway coffees, brunch, deli grab and go lunch, lunch to have in, supper, cocktails, & also parties. Megan’s is open all day every day & brunch is an all day affair (until 5pm).

We are a varied spot for our neighbours. They hang out all day on their laptops, also bring kiddies for an early supper, host baby showers with us, bottomless brunch with friends, propose to their other halves, and even host weddings!

We are known for our beautiful interiors, our delicious food & also our warm & friendly team.

St Albans Restaurants: Our menu at Megan’s.

Our food has a slightly Mediterranean influence as our Executive Head Chef, Sercan, is from Turkey. Think shakshouka baked eggs, posh kebabs, mezze sharing plates. Plus THE Half Baked Cookie Dough… Which will change your life. Forever.

As mentioned, we are open for brunch, lunch & dinner every day.

You can find our full menus here.

A bit about our journey.

We are a small, independent, dog-loving neighbourhood restaurant. We originated in south west London in 2002 as a small antiques shop on the Kings Road in Fulham. Selling cakes & pastries to her guests in the little shop, Megan then decided that the beautiful setting would make a rather nice cafe & later, also a restaurant. So, Megan’s as we know it today, was born.

The original Kings Road restaurant is so loved by its neighbours. And due to its popularity, we have since been able to open a few more locations in a few more neighbourhoods.
